We are appealing for witnesses following two store burglaries in Thames Ditton and Esher, which we believe are linked.
On Wednesday, 12 July, a McColls store in Esher was broken into around 2am and a large quantity of cigarettes was stolen. A few days later on Friday, 14 July, the Post Office in Thames Ditton was also targeted around 1am, with cigarettes and bottles of alcohol taken – these have now been recovered. Entry was forced on both occasions.
Three to four men dressed in black wearing balaclavas left both locations in a white Peugeot, which has now been recovered. We are appealing for witnesses who may have driven past the locations at those times and may have seen anything or have dash-cam footage. We are hoping the CCTV image below of the white Peugeot may jog people’s memory.
We also urge local businesses to ensure their high value supplies are stored securely and to ensure their CCTV cameras are in good working order.
We are appealing for any help in identifying the suspects. If you know anything that could assist our investigation, please contact us straightaway quoting reference PR/45230077332 via:
