Witness appeal following fatal collision in Staines

We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision this morning (Friday, 25 August) in Staines.

Officers were called to the A30 Staines Bypass at around 5:20 am following a report of a collision between a car and a light goods vehicle.

The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported.

A 61-year-old man has been arrested for causing death by dangerous driving.

Both carriageways will remain closed for the next few hours.

We are asking anyone who was in the area between 5am and 5:30am this morning who might have witnessed the incident or have CCTV, dashcam or helmet cam footage to come forward.
