We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision between a bus and a pedestrian on Sunday 10 September, at 10.13pm on Park Lane in Merrow.
Officers attended the scene along with paramedics, but sadly the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver remained at the scene and is assisting us with our enquiries.
As part of our investigation, we are appealing to anyone who may have seen the movements of the victim prior to the collision. He is believed to have walked from Merrow Street to Park Lane and was in the area from around 7.30PM.
He is described as an 86-year-old man and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side and a navy jacket. He also had a black backpack with a red front and was using a walking stick.
If you are a resident of the area and have video doorbell or CCTV footage that may have captured him, or if you witnessed the collision itself, please contact us quoting PR/45230101982.
