Officers are continuing to investigate after a serious sexual assault took place in Banstead on Tuesday 31 October.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and attempted robbery and has been released on bail conditions.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the open land between Cuddington Meadows and Banstead Downs Golf Club where a woman was out walking her dog when she was approached by a man who initially asked her for her phone, before grabbing and assaulting her.
We are continuing our appeal for witnesses who may have been in the area between 7am and 7.30am on Tuesday 31 October.
