We are appealing for witnesses after an assault at a pub in Staines-upon-Thames in the early hours of Monday morning (25 December). Officers were called to the Slug and Lettuce on Clarence Street at around 2:10am after receiving reports of a man being assaulted by a group of four or five men inside the pub. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Investigating Officer DC Ffion Mackenzie said; “Were you at, or in the area near to, the Slug and Lettuce in Staines-upon-Thames on Sunday evening or Monday morning (24 December into 25 December)?
