We are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a collision in Englefield Green on Saturday afternoon (27 January).
We were called around 3.30pm following reports of a collision in Bakeham Lane at the junction with Prune Hill involving a dark-coloured Citroen Berlingo van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital but has sadly since died as a result of the injuries he sustained. His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained officers.
The driver of the van was also injured but has since left hospital.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services, including ambulance, fire and air ambulance crews, dealt with the incident.
We are appealing for anyone who saw a dark-coloured Citroen Berlingo van in the area around the time, or with any other information, to come forward. We are particularly keen to anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time.
