We are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Felcourt this morning (15 January).
Officers were called to Blackberry Lane at around 9:18am following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a black Vauxhall Astra between the junctions of Felcourt Road and Blackberry Road.
A 79-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the car is assisting officers with their enquiries. No arrests have been made yet.
Blackberry Lane is expected to remain closed this afternoon.
