We are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle collision on the M25 near Limpsfield this morning.
Officers were called at around 6am after a Vauxhall Astra left the carriageway between Junction 6 and Junction 5 of the M25 and travelled down the embankment before coming to a stop on Water Lane.
The driver has been taken to hospital and is receiving medical treatment. No other injured parties have been reported to us.
There is currently a full closure of all four lanes of the M25 anticlockwise between J6 and J5. Water Lane is also closed northbound after the junction with Park Road.
These closures are likely to remain in place for several hours while we gather the evidence required for our investigation into the collision. We appreciate that this will unavoidably cause disruption for motorists and apologise for the inconvenience. Officers are working hard to get the lanes reopened as soon as possible.
Were you travelling along the M25 between J6 and J5 this morning between 5.45am and 6am? Do you have any CCTV, dashcam or helmet cam footage that might have captured all or part of this incident? If you have any information that may assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/45240037450 via:
If you do not wish to speak to police, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
