The man who died in a fatal collision in Camberley on Tuesday, 1 October has now been named.
Officers were called to the M3 at around 5.25pm following a single vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway near J4.
South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver of the vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, he has now been named as Dr Nick Payne, Emergency Department Consultant at Frimley Park Hospital. Our thoughts remain with his family, friends, and colleagues at this incredibly difficult and sad time.
