We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Camberley.
Officers were called to the M3 at around 5.25pm yesterday evening (Tuesday, 1 October) following a single vehicle collision on the southbound carriageway near J4. The vehicle initially left the A325 carriageway around the Ravenswood Roundabout, where it hit a concrete barrier and went over the bridge, landing on the southbound carriageway of the M3 below.
South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended but, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 50s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the slip road of the A325 and the southbound carriageway of the M3 were closed for several hours to allow us to carry out our initial investigation. Those roads have now fully reopened.
We are now appealing for any information that may assist our investigation. We would particularly like to trace the movements of a black BMW I3 prior to the collision.
If you were in the area between 5.20pm and 5.25pm yesterday evening and witnessed the collision, or you have CCTV, dash cam or helmet cam footage that might have captured any part of this incident, please get in touch quoting PR/45240112326 via:
If you do not wish to speak to police, you can call independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
