Burglar sentenced for huge burglary conspiracy

A prolific burglar who committed a staggering 33 burglaries across the southeast, has today (13 November) been sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison.

Emiliano Krosi, 24, (dob 22/03/2000) of Ditton Court Road in Southend, was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court after being found guilty of 33 counts of conspiracy to commit burglary.

The spate of burglaries took place between October 2022 and March 2023 across Surrey, Kent, Essex, and Hertfordshire. Investigators estimate that approximately £1,139,000 worth of items were stolen in this period.

Krosi had a very specific checklist for the homes he targeted, with the ideal home being a large, detached house in an affluent area, situated on a private road and with a large rear garden. Often these gardens also backed onto fields or golf courses to give him an extra level of privacy whilst committing his crimes.

Krosi would then commonly smash the window of the first-floor master bedroom and proceed to steal cash, jewellery, watches, or designer items.

Officers apprehended Krosi after a red Mercedes he was using was identified as being involved in a burglary in Sevenoaks.

Krosi, who was on bail after being previously arrested by Kent Police, was rearrested by our officers in August of 2023 and subsequently charged with the 33 burglaries.

Upon searching his phone, a large amount of evidence was uncovered including photos of stolen designer goods and ‘pins’ for locations of houses that he had already burgled or was planning to. He would also often search the value of stolen items just after he had carried out the burglary.

Fortunately, a number of stolen items including Rolexes, designer bags and jewellery were successfully recovered by officers.

Investigating officer, PC Katherine Stevens, said; “This was a large-scale and thorough investigation into a huge number of burglaries committed across four different counties. Krosi was extremely methodical and organised in his targeting of homes, with the sole aim to make as much money as possible off the back of other people.

“Through collaborative working with colleagues in other forces including Kent, Essex, Hertfordshire and The Metropolitan Police Service, we were able to apprehend Krosi and bring the case to court. We hope this sentence gives the victims some form of closure.”

Alfred Isufi, 49, Gerard Kalaja, 23, and Henri Osmani, 45, are wanted by police in connection to our investigation and it is believed they are no longer in the UK. If you have seen them or have any relevant information, please contact us quoting PR/45230002332.
