We are appealing for witnesses following a stabbing that took place yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 5 March) in Redhill.
At around 3.40pm officers were made aware by the South East Coast Ambulance Service that a man had been stabbed in the chest and stomach on Station Road outside McDonalds. The victim, a man in his 30’s, was taken to hospital for treatment and is currently in a stable condition.
The suspect of the attack then fled the scene in the direction of Lloyds Bank and is described as mixed race, of slim build, around 5 foot 4 inches tall with brown curly hair. He is thought to be in his late teens and was wearing a black hoodie with a large white logo on the back and grey jogging bottoms at the time of the assault.
We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault, or has any information to come forward. If you were driving along Station Road between 3:30pm and 3:50pm, and have any dashcam footage, please contact us.
Reigate and Banstead Sergeant Rafa Alvarez said: “Officers will be conducting additional patrols in the area today and engaging with the community. We know this is an unsettling time and I’d encourage you to speak with officers about your concerns. We would like to reassure the local community that we are treating this extremely seriously and a number of enquiries are underway to establish all the facts.”
