We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Fairlands this afternoon (Wednesday, 14 May).
At 12.20pm, officers were called to the A323 Aldershot Road near the junction with Fairlands Avenue following a collision between a car and two pedestrians.
Both pedestrians, a man and a woman, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The woman was transported to hospital by air ambulance, where she remains in a life-threatening condition. Her next of kin have been informed.
A 37-year-old man from Gomshall has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving uninsured.
The A323 Aldershot Road remains closed southbound from the roundabout with Holly Lane to Gravetts Lane. The road is open northbound from Guildford past Fairlands.
