We were called just before 7pm (Monday 6 November) to reports that two teenagers had been assaulted on Ashdown Road.

The victims, a boy and a girl were attacked by four individuals carrying metal bars.

Later on that evening just before 8pm, we received reports of a car fire on Alexander Road which is believed to be deliberate. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and no one near the car suffered any injuries.

A 33-year-old woman from Reigate and a 17-year-old boy from Horley were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, they remain in police custody.

It is believed that these two incidents are connected, and an investigation continues.

We urge anybody with any information to call us on 101 or report online at quoting, 45170123484.
