Your safer neighbourhood team
Neighbourhood policing within Surrey Police is delivered by Safer Neighbourhood Teams in each of the 11 districts and boroughs of the County. Each neighbourhood within the districts and boroughs is served by a dedicated team of officers and staff.
Neighbourhood Teams provide community engagement, targeted foot patrols and collaborative problem solving to tackle the issues that cause the greatest harm in our communities. Teams are made of sergeants, police officers and PCSOs, led by the Borough Commander, with further support provided by other team members - with specialisms in youth engagement, licensing and crime prevention.

Shoplifting is a National priority and has an impact on both businesses and consumers in the local area
Action taken:
Retail crime has an impact on businesses, the consumer, and retail staff. Surrey Police has made tackling shoplifting a priority, through working closely with the businesses effected to help improve reporting and evidence collection, to aid in pursuing offenders. Our team have been holding engagement events in hotspot retail locations, to provide a more visible presence and answer any concerns

Continuing reports of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Anti-Social Driving (ASD)
Action taken:
Reports of ASB has increased, and our team has made responding to more calls in person a priority. Officers are taking on more patrols within rural locations, to provide a more visible presence to prevent ASB opportunity, and reassure the local community on actions being taken to tackle ASB. PCSOs have also been holding engagement events, to answer any queries or concerns the local community may have.
