We have regular visible patrols in the borough, as well regular visits to targeted stores.
We are working with retail outlets that have been disproportionately targeted by offenders to prevent further offences and identify those responsible.

    Actioned 25 June 2026

  • Priority:

    Violence Against Women and Girls

    Issued 23 April 2026

    Action taken:

Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) refers to a wide range of crimes and abusive behaviours that disproportionately affect women and girls, although people of all genders can be victims. These offences cause significant physical, emotional, psychological, and social harm, and their impact often extends beyond individuals to families and communities. There have been an increase in exposure offences reported in the borough of Surrey Heath.
Surrey Police is committed to pursuing those who are committing these types of offences. We are aware that VAWG offences are underreported and our team are engaging with the community to encourage reporting and using 999 when there is a crime in progress. Increased patrols are being completed in places that have been targeted for these types of offences. The neighbourhood team are working with our proactive team to arrange days of action with specially trained officers to observe and intervene when necessary.
Since the priority has been added the following work has been undertaken by the local team:
•Day of action with plain clothes and specially trained officers observing behaviours in large green spaces across the borough.
•Joint work with the council during World Cup games offering a safe space for victims of VAWG offences, along with uniformed patrols and the use of specially trained officers.
•Local officers have attended park run events to engage with participants and raise awareness
•Plans are being made for the summer period for events to engage with the public around this subject and further patrols in hotspot locations being planned.

    Actioned 26 June 2026

  • Priority:

Old Dean - Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Arson Related Concerns.

    Issued 28 April 2026

    Action taken:

We continue to receive reports of anti-social behaviour and arson related concerns within Old Dean Common and the Barossa area. Local officers are working closely with partner agencies, including the Crown Estate and Fire Safety Officers, to carry out joint patrols and address these issues.
A significant proportion of the reported ASB relates to the use of off road bikes being ridden dangerously across common land. This behaviour presents a serious risk to pedestrians and has resulted in an increase in injuries. Joint patrols with the Crown Estate are ongoing to deter this activity and improve public safety.
During the Spring and Summer months, there is also an increase in fire related incidents, often linked to unauthorised open fires and barbecues. Officers are working alongside Fire Safety Officers through joint patrols to educate the public, reduce risk, and prevent further incidents.

    Actioned 28 April 2026

  • Priority:

Old Dean - Upland Road - Increase in anti social behaviour (ASB)

    Issued 28 April 2026

    Action taken:

There has been a recent increase in reports of anti-social behaviour in the Upland Road area. Local officers are working closely with housing partners to tackle these concerns proactively. Where appropriate, enforcement action will be taken, including the pursuit of anti-social behaviour orders against individuals responsible for persistent or serious incidents.

    Actioned 28 April 2026

  • Priority:

We regularly patrol the area and continue to robustly use ASB legislation. This has proven successful and there has been a significant decrease in the anti social behaviour.
