Rural crime encompasses various offences that occur in rural areas including: Theft of Plant equipment or fuel, damage to property, livestock worrying, poaching and tack theft.Rural crime has significant impacts on communities including economic, social and environmental.
Action taken:
Local officers are regularly meeting with rural partners and the community to conduct reassurance patrols and education on crime prevention techniques. Regular proactive operations are being conducted overnight with partners to combat rural crime. Further day of action planned involving partner agencies.
