Surrey Police are dedicated to taking effective action against all forms of Hate Crime by working in partnership with internal and external agencies to make the lives of Hate Crime victims safer, protect their families and communities, whilst preventing repeat victimisation. The force will take robust action against perpetrators bringing them to justice, whilst recognising and supporting the needs of the victim.

This Policy document outlines the Force’s approach to media relations and, in conjunction with the Media Engagement Procedure, instructs police officers and police staff, special constables and volunteers on the expected engagement standards and behaviour.
