Notice of Misconduct Hearing

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF GROSS MISCONDUCT HEARING

The Hearing will take place at Surrey Police Force Headquarters on February 19th & 20th 2026.

ALLEGATIONS:

On September 9th 2023 the officer sent inappropriate messages to a witness in which he suggested he was going to cause harm and criminal damage in relation to other people.

This was a breach of the standards of professional behaviour in relation to Discreditable Conduct.

The allegations have been assessed as Gross Misconduct which could lead to the officers dismissal if proved.

Members of the media and public may attend subject to the following conditions:

• The Chair has directed tht the accused officer and the witnesses will be given anonymity by way of reporting restrictions of their names. Cyphers are to be used for the purpose of the Hearing and in reporting of these proceedings.
• The taking of photographs and the use of film or sound recording equipment during the Hearing, except for official use, is prohibited.
• There may be parts of the Hearing which are held in private session, if that is the case. any accredited member of the media or public attending the Hearing will be asked to leave during the private session and will be informed by the Hearings Officer when they can return.
