ALLEGATIONS
On September 2nd 2024 whilst off duty, PC Murphy instigated and engaged in an inappropriate telephone conversation with a male, whom he knew or suspected to be vulnerable and to have a sexual interest in children. Former PC Murphy failed to take any necessary safeguarding steps to protect the public nor did he otherwise report the incident.
These matters are allegedly in breach of the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to:
