This procedure applies to police officers and is intended to reinforce the requirement that the actions of police officers should not bring into question their impartiality.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly being used for its potential to bring substantial benefits to the way that services are delivered. If used safely and appropriately, AI can improve how we manage and use data and help us to communicate with and support citizens, our staff, third party partners and our suppliers more efficiently.

This document sets out the principles and processes for air conditioning, ventilation and heating for offices, accommodation and buildings owned or leased by the Surrey Police and Sussex Police Forces. The policy emphasises that air conditioning will only be provided in areas where adequate natural or mechanical ventilation is not feasible or insufficient. Furthermore, it establishes the structure for managing heating and temperatures throughout our estate. By implementing this policy, the organisation aims to ensure the efficient use of resources, promote sustainability, and maintain a healthy working environment for its personnel

This policy is to inform everyone connected with Surrey Police and Sussex Police, in relation to the process needed to be able to agree an apprenticeship course within both Forces and how the apprenticeship levy will be managed within the Learning and Professional Development Management Team. This policy does not relate to new apprenticeship applications but for establishing new apprenticeship courses to both Forces.

Surrey Police are dedicated to taking effective action against all forms of Hate Crime by working in partnership with internal and external agencies to make the lives of Hate Crime victims safer, protect their families and communities, whilst preventing repeat victimisation. The force will take robust action against perpetrators bringing them to justice, whilst recognising and supporting the needs of the victim.

This Policy document outlines the Force’s approach to media relations and, in conjunction with the Media Engagement Procedure, instructs police officers and police staff, special constables and volunteers on the expected engagement standards and behaviour.

All Police Forces in England and Wales are now required to notify the CoP of the details of any Police officers and Special Constables and Police Staff including volunteers, who have been dismissed for Gross Incompetence or Misconduct or who have resigned or retired under Gross Misconduct investigation. The procedure also includes former officers when one of three conditions are met. This procedure has been written to outline those requirements and the Surrey Police response to them. The Barred and Advisory Lists are administered by the College of Policing.
