We are appealing for witnesses following reports of a concern for safety in Long Ditton last night (18 January).
Police received reports that a woman, aged in her 30s or 40s, had been forced into a grey 4x4 vehicle on Simpson Way sometime between 8:40pm and 9pm.
Witnesses reported seeing an altercation between two men and a woman, all believed to be Asian, before the woman was put into the vehicle, which then drove off in the direction of Esher.
Detective Sergeant Mark Fordham said: “We are working to establish the exact circumstances. We want to ensure that the woman is safe, so are asking people with any information to contact us immediately. Since the reports came into us, we have been conducting enquiries within the local area to help us to identify the person and vehicle involved.”
