We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Little Bookham this afternoon (Wednesday, 14 May).
At 3:45pm, officers were called to The Approach off Little Bookham Street following a single vehicle collision involving a pedal cyclist. The collision occurred at the point in which the road goes over the railway bridge.
The cyclist, a man in his 70’s, has been taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. His next of kin have been informed.
We are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident. We are particularly keen to trace the movements of the pedal cycle, a brown racing bike, prior to the incident.
If you have any information that can assist us, please contact us quoting PR/45250057410.
