We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Guildford.
Officers were called to the A31 Hogs Back shortly before 1.55pm on Tuesday, 17 June following a call reporting a collision at the location between the driver of a truck and a pedestrian.
Sadly the pedestrian, a woman in her 20s, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.
Our enquiries are ongoing. No arrests have been made.
The A31 eastbound carriageway was closed between Puttenham and Farnham Road for several hours to allow us to carry out initial enquiries but has since reopened.
We are now looking to speak to anyone who might have witnessed this collision, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.
If you have any information that might assist our investigation, please get in touch quoting PR/45250072844 using one of the options below:
If you would rather not speak to police or to prefer to give information anonymously, you can contact independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or completing their online form at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/
Surrey Police is making a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following this incident, which is being treated as a death following police contact. This is due to a report of a woman in the carriageway which was received in the minutes prior to the collision.
