Witness appeal following fatal collision in Guildford

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Guildford yesterday evening (Saturday, 11 July).

Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on the A322 Worplesdon Road, outside of Sainsburys Local at around 10:30pm.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.

Worplesdon Road was closed for some time overnight between Stoughton Road and Aldershot Road, but has now reopened.

We are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, to get in touch.
