Witness appeal following a serious collision in Jacobs Well

We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Jacobs Well.

Officers were called to Woking Road at 9.44am this morning (Tuesday, 25 August) after reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a coach at the location.

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains.

The coach was later stopped at Heathrow Airport. The driver, a man in his late 40s, is assisting police with our investigation. 

Road closures are currently in place on Woking Road between the Salt Box Road roundabout and the junctions with Burdenshott Road, Clay Lane, and Whitmoor Lane to allow officers to carry out their initial enquiries. These will be lifted shortly.

Were you in the area around Woking Road between 9.15am and 9.35am this morning?

We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, to get in touch.
