Our Force Command Centre and Police Front Counter staff are at the front line of Surrey Police.
We are on the look-out for the communicators, listeners and problem solvers to join our Force Command Centre team.
You’ll play a vital role in supporting victims and keeping the public safe, ensuring each contact is prioritised according to need and using your decision making skills to determine the most appropriate response. These are fast paced roles putting you at the very forefront of policing. No two days truly are the same in these roles where you really can make a difference to the communities of Surrey.
You will be dealing with a large variety of calls which are often challenging in nature. At times you will be talking to people in potentially dangerous or vulnerable situations, they may be distressed or panicked. You will need to be resilient and have the ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.
We provide you with a high standard of training, including an experienced coach to support you in your learning on the job. These are uniformed, office-based Police Staff roles, which require the use of a variety of different computer systems and the ability to type at a reasonable speed. Our teams are there when the public need us 24/7, so you’ll need to commit to working a shift pattern – examples can be found in the role information sections below.
