Retail Crime - Shoplifting is a National priority and has an impact on businesses in the town.
Action taken:
Our team have been completing regular engagement events in hotspot retail locations to provide a more visible presence in the community. Officers have been working with businesses that have been effected to help improve reporting and the collection of evidence, to aid with pursuing offenders. Support has also been offered to retail staff to provide assistance and reassurance.
