Retail Crime - There has been a significant increase in the number of offenders being identified, arrested and charged with retail crime offences, and Surrey Police has made tackling this a priority, as it has an impact on the businesses involved and the consumer
Action taken:
Our team has been holding engagement events at hotspot retail locations, to increase visibility with an aim of reducing retail crime opportunities. PCSOs have been attending the businesses that have been targeted to help improve reporting and evidence collection, to aid with pursuing offenders.

Surrey Police has seen an increase in reports of ASB and ASD, which often leads to criminal offences. Our team has increased patrols in hotspot locations, held Street a Week events to speak with residents. and have increased involvement in community activities.
