Vehicle Crime. The northern wards in the borough have often been targeted by cross border criminals. Offending can be opportunistic, such as the targeting of insecure cars, or it can involve ‘keyless’ car theft, which is linked to Organised Acquisitive Crime. Local policing teams will work in partnership with neighbouring forces to target offenders.
