Your safer neighbourhood team
Neighbourhood policing within Surrey Police is delivered by Safer Neighbourhood Teams in each of the 11 districts and boroughs of the County. Each neighbourhood within the districts and boroughs is served by a dedicated team of officers and staff.
Neighbourhood Teams provide community engagement, targeted foot patrols and collaborative problem solving to tackle the issues that cause the greatest harm in our communities. Teams are made of sergeants, police officers and PCSOs, led by the Borough Commander, with further support provided by other team members - with specialisms in youth engagement, licensing and crime prevention.

Anti-Social Behaviour
Action taken:
We have been actively targeting reports of anti-social behaviour and trespassing around the Pitts. We have been liaising with other agencies to help mitigate the water risk and have been actively educating those involved to help limit the risks, while looking to target the reports of drug use with the use of plain clothed operations. We have also had reports of issues around Walton Bridge involving anti-social boat use which we are looking to tackle in conjunction with other agencies.

PCSO Timmings carried out “Meet the Beat” engagements at various locations in Shepperton. This provided an opportunity to offer crime prevention advice, increase reassurance, and build positive relationships with members of the local community.
