Your safer neighbourhood team
Neighbourhood policing within Surrey Police is delivered by Safer Neighbourhood Teams in each of the 11 districts and boroughs of the County. Each neighbourhood within the districts and boroughs is served by a dedicated team of officers and staff.
Neighbourhood Teams provide community engagement, targeted foot patrols and collaborative problem solving to tackle the issues that cause the greatest harm in our communities. Teams are made of sergeants, police officers and PCSOs, led by the Borough Commander, with further support provided by other team members - with specialisms in youth engagement, licensing and crime prevention.

Anti-social behaviour
Action taken:
We are actively tackling anti-social behaviour and have conducted multiple warrants in the location targeting addresses linked to anti-social drug use. We have also been working with the council and housing to deter this. We have identified other addresses causing anti-social behaviour and disrupting their neighbours which we are looking to target to help improve the quality of life for the surrounding residents.

Criminal Damage
Action taken:
Following an incident where a group of young people committed criminal damage to a Stanwell property, officers have been working to progress the investigation into this incident. This has included working with partner agencies, bordering police forces and members of the public to identify those involved, completing additional reassurance patrols and engaging with the community to increase awareness of how to secure their homes to increase security

Action taken:
In mid-August there was an incident that took place at the Stanwell Hotel, which caused understandable anxiety for many residents. Officers have been completing additional reassurance patrols of Stanwell, to increase the visible police presence in the area. Police have also been engaging with the local community to try and offer advice and guidance to those that have been acutely impacted by this incident.
