Your safer neighbourhood team
The Neighbourhood Sergeant provides frontline leadership to coordinate neighbourhood team activity, and work with the community, partners and other colleagues, to deliver safer neighbourhoods. This includes directing problem solving and engagement activity, and being responsive to community needs.
Youth Engagement Officers are Police Constables who engage with children and young people, building trust and confidence, whilst working closely with schools and partners. They seek to intervene early, where needed, and be responsive to community needs.

Rural Police Community Support Officers are dedicated to supporting and protecting Surrey's rural communities. Working closely with farmers, landowners, equestrian groups, local businesses, parish councils and residents playing a key role in addressing issues affecting the countryside, including rural crime, wildlife offence, anti-social behaviour, theft and community safety concerns.
The Neighbourhood Inspector has overall responsibility for the entire neighbourhood policing team of Sergeants, Police Constables, PCSOs and Police Staff. They are responsible for delivering on neighbourhood policing strategies, directing the deployment of the team and developing relationships with partners and key stakeholders, to enable the neighbourhood policing team to work effectively.

Shoplifting and retail crime.
Increased theft from shops and concerns regarding threats/violence towards retail staff.Action taken:
There has been a marked reduction in reported offences in the area due to covert and overt hotspot patrols by the local policing team.
A neighbourhood Specialist Officer has recently secured a charge and prison remand for eight shoplifting offences committed by the same perpetrator.
The local team continue to engage with the local business community, increasing confidence and partnership working whilst relentlessly and robustly bringing repeat offenders to justice using anti-social behaviour legislation where appropriate.
