This policy and associated procedure is to inform everyone connected with Surrey Police and Sussex Police, and with whom it subcontracts or collaborates, of our agreed policy with regard to the safeguarding of all individuals involved within the learning environment. The policy is in line with OFSTED requirements.

This procedure sets out the local arrangements for revelation of criminal and misconduct outcomes to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) by police officers and police staff, including special constables. This procedure may extend to volunteers and contractors involved in submitting witness statements because of their police role. It details the information which officers and any staff are required to reveal to the prosecutor and provides guidance on what information may need to be revealed.
