Your safer neighbourhood team
Neighbourhood policing within Surrey Police is delivered by Safer Neighbourhood Teams in each of the 11 districts and boroughs of the County. Each neighbourhood within the districts and boroughs is served by a dedicated team of officers and staff.
Neighbourhood Teams provide community engagement, targeted foot patrols and collaborative problem solving to tackle the issues that cause the greatest harm in our communities. Teams are made of sergeants, police officers and PCSOs, led by the Borough Commander, with further support provided by other team members - with specialisms in youth engagement, licensing and crime prevention.

Anti-social behaviour
Action taken:
There have been reports of ASB occurring in estates around the centre of Sunbury. This ranges from vehicle damage, loud noise, aggressive shouting and dangerous cycling. The cycling 'tricks' carried out on pavements are not only a danger to residents using them but also to those who want to demonstrate balance on their back wheel whilst cyc Those that are doing this are being warned and advice given that things will be taken further if it doesn't stop.

Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG)
Action taken:
This still remains as a high priority for us to deal with. We have carried out specific 'Meet The Beat' sessions, where our main emphasis has been aimed towards VAWG. We have been able to provide advice and direction to those that are suffering and those who have worries. We would like to impress on everyone, the need to report anything that they see or notice, that might suggest there is a problem. At the meetings, we have distributed panic alarms, which are very much appreciated as an extra safety tool. We are continuing to patrol the Sunbury Subways, especially as they have been highlighted as an area of concern. We are still receiving excellent input from Sunbury residents on both drug use and drug dealing. We regularly carry out House to House engagement activity. If you have any knowledge of possible drug activity, then please let us know. All information received ls treated as anonymous.

Shoplifting and acquisitive crime
Action taken:
In Sunbury we have carried out high visibility foot patrols to deter suspects. We have co-ordinated with repeatedly targeted organisations to disrupt offending and target suspects, as well as identifying and advising them on weak points leaving them vulnerable to further victimisation.
