    Action taken:

  • Priority:

    Anti-social behaviour - ASB

    Issued 01 September 2026

    Action taken:

We have conducted visible patrols around both Sunbury Cross and Lower Sunbury, targeting known hotspot areas for Anti-social behaviour. We have identified multiple repeat offenders and are proactively targeting them in order to help disrupt their anti-social behaviour and help protect and safeguard vulnerable victims in the location. We have also been giving advice to various stores to limit anti-social behaviour nearby.

  • Priority:

Violence against Women and Girls - VAWG

    Issued 01 September 2026

    Action taken:

This still remains a high priority for us to target. We continue to carry out specific Meet The Beat (MTB) sessions, where our main emphasis continues to be aimed towards VAWG. We have been able to provide advice and direction to those that are suffering, and those who have worries about their safety. We would like to impress on everyone, the need to report anything that they see or notice, that might suggest there is a problem. At our MTB sessions, we have distributed panic alarms, which are very much appreciated as an extra safety tool. We are continuing to patrol the Sunbury Subways, as they have been highlighted as an area of concern from those using them. If you would like to come to a' MTB engagement, to discuss any issues of concern that you may be worried about or just to have a chat, the dates and locations can be found on our website.

  • Priority:

    Drug related activity

    Issued 01 September 2026

    Action taken:

PCSO Lappin is carrying out House to House visits to discover any issues that residents might be facing, One that has been raised regularly, is the sale and supply of drugs at various locations in Sunbury. These locations are now under regular surveillance and patrol. CCTV supplied by residents has proved valuable in identifying vehicles that are being used. This has helped us to further crack down on those taking part.

  • Priority:

    Shoplifting

    Issued 01 September 2026

    Action taken:

Targeted operations, both in uniform and plain clothes, have been conducted in the Sunbury area focusing specifically on tackling shoplifting. These proactive deployments are designed to identify and apprehend offenders, disrupt criminal activity, and act as a visible deterrent to prevent further offences. PCSO Lappin carried out four “Street the Week” engagements and five “Meet the Beat” events at various locations in Sunbury. This provided an opportunity to offer crime prevention advice, increase reassurance, and build positive relationships with members of the local community. The engagement with the public at all of these events was positive and the community’s appreciation to see a regular police presence in Sunbury was voiced by several members of the public. In addition, high-visibility foot patrols have been undertaken across the area, with officers and PCSO Lappin engaging directly with local businesses. These interactions have helped to identify ongoing concerns, gather intelligence around patterns of offending, and continue to inform a more targeted and effective policing approach to tackling retail crime in Ashford.
