We're always developing new volunteer roles - see our current vacancies for more details.
Our large team of Police Support Volunteers come from various backgrounds, and are vital to making Surrey the safest county it can be. We are very grateful for the time, skills and experience that they contribute to the many different roles across the Force.
Surrey Police welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds (from a minimum age of 16). The hours are usually flexible, and depend on the role requirements and the time you can offer. As a volunteer you will not be paid, but will be reimbursed for reasonable out-of-pocket travel expenses. You will receive role-related training at the police station or office where you will be based.
You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and to share your experience and knowledge with your colleagues. Working closely with local police officers, police staff and other Police Support Volunteers, you will become part of a team dedicated to making Surrey the safest county it can be. You will have the satisfaction and pride in knowing that you are making a positive contribution to the safety and well-being of your community.
Look at our current vacancies for a more detailed description of the roles you could volunteer for. If you'd like any extra information, or have any questions, email us.
